    About 3 days.

  • Will my pregnant Molly Fish eat her own young once she gives birth??

Freshwater livebearing fish will often consume thier fry once born. One tactic to avoid this happening is to purchase a breeding net which seperates the fry from the parent fish via a fine mesh net with the fry can pass through.

  • Is it dangerous to clean the tank when there are eggs in the tank?

It is not dangerous, but the stress of water change is not something you want to introduce before the fry are born.

  • I have two swordtails; a male Red Wag and a female Red Tuxedo Wag. They came from a store that gave them ich and finrot, which killed my 4 other swordtails off. These two are fairly healthy now, and I've had them for over two months. Why aren't there any fry? And also, what does the female look like if she's pregnant? Does the black 'spot' have a distinguished shape; and if so can you give us a picture of what it looks like. Sorry for so many questions, but I really want to know.

2 differnt species, will not produce fry.
