  • I have a heavily planted tank and would like to remove some of the fish and take them to another tank. Is there any special equipment or tricks that I can use to catch some of the harder to catch fish?

Try leaving a net in the tank so the fish are accustomed to seeing it. Then feed the fish and lift up on the net while they are out.

  • I have recently purchased a used acrylic tank. The previous owner attached a backdrop with tape. Is there any solvent that I can use safely to remove the tape residue?

Hi Jessica, Goo Gone should remove any residue from the tank.

  • I have read that the test kits that use the strips are very inaccuarate and should be avoided in favor of the all liquid dropper type test kits. Is this true and what type of test kit do you recommend for freshwater tanks?

Yes, the strip tests are inaccurate. You can find a list of suitable test kits for freshwater kits on the following website. http://www.aquariumpros.com/c-TKfw.html
