Is there such thing as having to much air in the tank?
Yes. Too many air bubbles can impede swimming and feeding. Air bubbles can irritate a fish's eyes and scales. If you have a reef tank, some corals will not open with too many air bubbles present.

I was wondering if I could add a piece of glass to separate my tank into 2 different aquarium(reef and fish- only). Would this setup even work?
You are better off purchasing some light grating and create a tank divider. You might need some window screening to wrap around the divider to keep small fish from swimming through. This would allow the tank water to move freely from one side to the other.

Would adding a large sea shell that I washed out in the dishwasher be causing a major pollution problem in my 4 month old tank? It is cloudy, foamy, and smelly. Fish are also dying.
It appears that you have not properly rinsed the shell of detergent. For the future, you should only use a mild solution of bleach to clean decorations. Then you must soak the shell in a solution of dechlorinator to remove the bleach.

I just set up a 5 1/2 gallon tank with a piece of grape wood. After about 24 hours of being in the tank there is a white slime growing on the wood. What is this?
Grape wood is best suited in medium to low humidity environments only. Under wet or high humidity, grape wood has a tendancy to fungus or mold easily.

I have a 10 gallon saltwater tank that has been up and running for 7 months. I want to set up my 29 gallon with the equipment from my 10 gallon tank. What do I have to do?
Nothing. Add all the water, substrate, and filter media from the 10 gallon tank. The key is to preserve as much of the old bacterial population.

I have bubbles returning from my undergravel filter in my tank. What causes all these bubbles and what will it take to get rid of them?
The path of flow through an undergravel filter is through the gravel and up the lift tubes. If your setup is new, it may take time for all the bubbles to bleed out of the undergravel plate and substrate.
