I have been trying to find an acrylic aquarium thickness calculator. Can you help me out , building a 48x48x32 tank out of .5 cellcast acrylic . Does this sound all right? THANKS

I have added some live rock to my tank and now I have all this brown stuff all over the bottom and top of the rocks and crushed coral. My lights are on for 12 hours. Is this ok and if not, how do I control it?
Your live rock is still curing which increases the organic level in the water. You are leaving your lights on too long. You should have adequate current over the live rock to discourage the brown algae growth. Once you have some critters in the tank, they will stir up your substrate.
