Hi,

I bought 5 dwarf frogs. 2 have 'disappeared'. I read that males may kill each other - could this be the case - that I may now have only 1 male and 2 females left? Next question - 1 of the dwarf frogs is twice the size of the other two. They were all the same size when I bought them. All of them have webbed feet. The frog that is bigger - seems also to have a rather large belly too - though - it's whole body is actually bigger. I noticed that one of the smaller frogs has white at the tip of it's nose. I am also not sure how much I should be feeding them. I bought some pellot things for them - that float. I've been putting about 3 in a day. Are they supposed to eat anything else? I also put flakes in and an algae chip once per day (as I have Tetra, shrimp, loaches and snails in there). Any information or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Are you sure that they are dwarf African clawed frogs" and not just "African clawed frogs"? When they are small they look a lot alike but you can tell the difference by looking at their front feet, if they are webbed then it is a dwarf but if they are like fingers with out the webbing then they are the full sized African clawed frog and will get to be about 4 to 5 inches body length, not including the legs.
As far as feeding them I would recommend that you feed them a wide variety of foods and that they eat all of it within 1 to two minutes. You could offer them live insects or red wiggler worms. Mke sure tht they are not too big forthe frogs to swollow
The biggest thing to remember is to make sure that you filter the water and do regular water changes as you would a fish.
