how can you tell when your female guppies are pregnant because both of my females's stomach's are big but on of them is pretty huge? could yuo tell me some sure signs or anything? thnx
A couple of signs is a very enlarged stomach, and also the rear end of the female fish will become darkened.

A female gupy can give birth to as few as 10 fry at a time to as many as 125 (very rarly this many). She can have broods as often as every 28 days depending on the size of the female, the condition she is in, and the water temp, the wamer the water ( within limits) the sooner the births will take place. When the babies are ready to be born, if you carefully look at the dark place (in frount of the anal fin), you might be able to see the eyes of the babies.
By the way once she bcomes pregnant once she can give birth to several broods with out being near another (or the same) male.

ok my fish is now not fat meaning she has had her babies. i can't ee any and dont expect to because they are either hiding or eaten which do you thik i the case? their are many other fish in tank including male guppies
Well It does sound like she had a litter. If you see no babies then they ate them. You can get a nusery for Pregnet fish.

where can i get a ursery and how do i run it
You can get a nursery at any LFS. You just put the Nusery on the tank and it allows water to get up in it. Put the expecting mother in the nursery and it allows the babys when born drop down into a bottom section that seperates them from every one else. They make food for raising babys. the Nursery's are real cheap under 10.00.HTH

Chris, as I have mentioned, you can see the eyes of the young guppies through the sides of the mother before they are to be borh if you look close enough. They will be in the dark area above the anal fin. Also the female will usually take on a squarish body shape befoe giving birth. The time to move her is within a day or so before her giving birth, if you leave her in the breeding trap too long she might give birth to still born babies that will not live. If you hve plenty of floating fine leaved plants in the tank most of thenwill be able to hide in them and escape predation by the larger fish in the tank including the mother. :(
