Anachris

I love the Anachris plant (another name might be Elodea)... I usually keep it im my pond, but I recently set up and cycled a 55G FW tank. I bought some Anachris that will be arriving shortly. Is it OK that I put some into my aquarium? I would probably anchor it down somehow. Is this a good idea?

It is used as an aquarium plant but if it does well in cool water may not do as well in warmer water. I've never had any luck with it and was once told it is really a cool water plant. My LFS assured me that isn't true, but it didn't survive in my tank, possibly for other reasons, such as light. Let us know how it does for you.
