i grew an aponogeton bulb or whatever and it has the huuuge stem thats about 2 feet tall and has a flower bud on the top, do i hafta clip it off? :(

I don't know this plant. You can do a search with the exact name or ask where you got it to find out if it's a true water plant or a swamp plant. Many of the latter are sold for aquaria but don't last long because they want to be partly out of the water. I doubt it's necessary to chop it off, but you still need to keep your tank covered somehow.

Ya i dont think you will have to cut it off as aqauk says. Also he said that you must keep the tank covered and that is RIGHT.
On the cover of your tank, in the back you might have a hole for your filter to hang in. If it gets too long and actually lives you can try putting it through there if the space isnt allready taken up.

oh i do have a lid, on the package of the bulb when i bought it says to clip it for steady growth but i wanted a flower so i left it on one but clipped the others. thanks for the help
