I recently started a 20 gallon brackish water tank. I stocked it with 3 bumblebee gobies and 4 ghost shrimp. I pour about 25-30 mosquito larvae in every day as food. the animals I have are doing well on this diet. My questions are:
What other fish could I add to the tank?
What should the specific gravity be?
How much salt is that?
What kinds of plants do I use?
How do I control the algea growth? Would the ghost shrimp help? (I bought them two days ago)
Thanks,
David

As far as other fish for the tank, you might try some form of puffer fish like a leopard or a figure 8, though I am not sure if they will chomp on the ghost shrimp or not. However, I have never seen a ghost shrimp in a brackish water tank before.
For specific gravity, somewhere around 1.008-1.011 works best for me. Some will tell you a tablespoon of marine salt per gallon, some will say more, I say just mess with it till you find what works best. So long as the specific gravity is good, its all good. Just make sure to use marine salt and not normal aquarium salt.
With plants in a brackish tank your options are VERY limited and even finding any that will live is near impossible, at least for me. I say fake all the way.

Well another type of fish you could put in the tank is a Danio of sorts. As far as the algae situation goes- leaving the light on too much makes the algae get out of control.
As far as controlling it with fish i wouldnt use the shrimp. In my opinion shrimp are insufficient cleaners. You could find a Algae eating fish of some sorts or Snails.
Both algae eating fish and snails are very good cleaners.
