I swear.. just when the tank is perfect.. something else.. :(
anyways... here goes: , just yesterday in my 55 gallon tank, my 1 inch telescope (michaelangelo) is showing signs of something wrong. He slept all day today and I actually had to wake hime up 2 times just to check if he had died. He seems like he just sits on the bottom- and he can't control his swimming very well. He eats just fine- but He kinda just get sloshed around by the filter. I took him out of the tank 10 minutes ago and added some salt to a 3 gallon bucket. Any ideas what is going on? Please help

Ammonia Level (ppm): 0

Ammonia tester used: Jungle Quick Dip

Nitrite (ppm): 0

Nitrate(ppm): 20-30

Are you testing with dipsticks?: yes

pH Level: 6.2-6.4... please see below about pH adjustment

Temperature: 70-72

Heater (yes/no): no

Aeration: had bubble curtain.. but tranferred to the bucket for michaelangelo

Water change amount/frequency: 10% weekly

Tank size: 55 gallon

How long has the tank has been in operation: 1 month... though gravel and filters were shipped wet to save bacteria when I moved

Type of Filtration: Two 60 gallon aquatech filters

Water additives/conditioners/pH adjusters: Aqua Safe when Water changes- did one a week ago (10%)

What, how much and how often is your Goldfish fed: Once in the morning Colorfin Sinking Granules- about 2 pinches (4 fish in tank)- I would say about 30 granules soaked in tank water for 5 minutes. Frozen peas once a week. I separate the telescope and feed him in a breeder net- hard to tell.. but he usually eats about 6-10 granules in about 3 minutes.

Tank inhabitants (number, size and type of fish/other aquatic pets): 3 others: Black oranda (3 inches), Orange oranda (2 inches), and Fantail (2 inches)

New additions/changes to the tank: Tank cycled finally last week... I did a pH adjuster 2 weeks ago- bad case of ick came on- lost a 6 inch telescope- but everyone else survived. Changed the filter, added the carbon back.. and now I'm afraid to adjust the ph again.

Unusual findings on the Goldfish: Michaelangelo is kinda lethargic .. just sits on the bottom of the tank and sleeps alot in the corner.. but then seems to get caught on plants because thrown around.

Medications/what has been tried or done do far: just a little salt... will soak food in garlic if not better soon. Ordered some meds for fish connection...
HELP any ideas?
