Hey, I just found some site where a guy uses pure sulfur beads to remove nitrAte in his tanks, at an lfs non the less. He uses 1L beads per 600L tank, or 630ml per 100Gallons, can anyone help me out on this?

Here is an article from the page on it, now I am not sure whther it will work in fresh cause it is tested in salt. http://mars.reefkeepers.net/USHomePage/USArticles/SulphurDenitrator.htm

interesting stuff. i was just reading up on a simple chemical reactor that will utilize sulfamic acid and zinc to denitrify water. end result is nitrogen gas.

Im still thinking of doing a trickle filter on the rear outside of my tank and just mount or hang it there so it doesn't stand out, just make it the size of the panes of glass and voila, but if this works I might buy a used aquaclear 200 or something and use that to do the sulfur in.
