Silver Dollar

I was looking at silver dollars...they look nice and also have some look that reminds me of the much feared cousin ...piranha...
Silver dollars in a 30 gallon would be too much??? read those grow fast.. :(

mine grew really fast, they are in the 180 gallon though. I bought them in Feb they were about 2" now they are about 5".

Way too much for a 30 gallon tank.......they need at least 50 gallons and need to be kept in schools.

you both are right....will keep my facination with silver dollars for my next project.....a giant tank.......small characoids will make it for now...

Actually, I bought them in April. So they REALLY grew fast.

I would say bigger than a 50 gallon tank. They can get up to 12"ish and need to school so there is alot of inches there, they are good with larger cichlids, as long as they don't kill them, but usually they are left alone. They are not the most inteligent either.
