Help? I have recently bought an eel for my tropical tank but the shop has now closed down. I can not remember the species or name of this eel. Any help or advice would me much appreciated?
Thanks.

Man that was quick....y'all are like greased lightning around here. I saw a neon or cardinal tetra in that pic, be careful, when that eel gets a little bit bigger he (she?) may turn them into snacks..

I have at the moment:
8 Neon Tetras
1 Golden Gourami
2 Dwarf Gouramis
2 Kissing Gouramis
1 Talking Catfish
1 Albino Catfish
1 Albino Shark
1 Silver Shark
7 Guppis
4 Mollies...
and a blue crayfish (only his claws are blue on mine though.)
Any additional information about my eel would be gratefull.

For anyone intrested in the blue crayfish well here he is. He shed his shell 4 days ago so he has not retained much of the blue, but once he finishes eating his shell as it is full of nutrition for him he should retain his blue claws.
The 2nd picture shows him straight after coming out of his shell, you can see it in the far right of my tank. I wonder whats going on in his mind...

how in the world are you keeping dwarf and gold gorhims? My gold hates dwarves. he will chace them non stop.
Ells have a nasty habit of eating live fish as far as a know. Research them a bit. Its a nice find but you do not want any suprises.

My gouramis have always been peacefull. Touch wood.
Yes, that eel will eat the small fish. They can be lightening fast too. The hunting habits of that eel is at night he will hide or burry himself until that little fish bobs past, then Whamo! No more little fish. I have eels.

NORMAN, try copying that url and pasting it into your browser. It worked perfect when I clicked on it. That site, incidentally, is www.fishprofiles.com you should be able to search the profiles of eels and find it there.
BTW: Very nice tank....I like the skull, and your crayfish is very cute. :D
