Goldfish dying

Help - my goldfish are dying! One is almost gone - is there anything I can do for her?

My tank somehow got diseased - I've had my goldfish almost 5 years and they just got sick within the last few days. Slimy and laying on bottom.

My pet store said to add Aquarium salt. Didn't change them. Added 2 capsules of Furan-2. No change! What should I do? How do I keep my tank healthy?

Unfortunately, you've been given some bad advice. The problem is not with something in your water, but the size of the tank.

Goldfish need a 50 gallon tank minimum. By keeping them in a 15 gallon tank, they are getting too stressed by the space limitations and are getting sick because of the stress.

mix 1 part peroxide with 9 parts tank water and dip the fish into it for 10 seconds. this will be a harsh method of knocking off the 'gill flukes' that are killing your goldie but time is wasting and you seem at that last chance stage so... then give the whole tank a good 'fluke tabs' session. full dose today,again in 4 days, and again in 4 days. the salt and furan is too little-too late at this point. HTH.
(not sure what a 50gal. tank would do for your fish today but if they survive they would appreciate the upgrade.)

omg!!! I THOUGH I WAS THE ONLY PERSON THAT KNEW OF THIS REMEDY. YEAH ITS IS A HARSH METHOD BUT ITS WORK MOST OF THE TIMES. I AGREE WITH LLOYD BERG ON THIS MATTER WORRY ABOUT ANY UPGRADE OF UR TANK LATER. UR FISH ARE GOING. ALSO IF YOU HAVE A LOCAL PETLAND STORE NEAR YOU THEY SOMETIMES HAVE ON SALE DONT KNOW THE SEASON BUT A 55 GALLON TANK WITH STAND FOR LIKE 80.00 THATS NOT BAD COMPARED TO 200.00 THAT SOME PEOPLE PAY FOR.

TRY THE REMEDY. GOOD LUCK TO THE FISHIES. :(

What is fluke tabs? I have a sick goldfish right now...

Any medications for flukes should only be used if there is a confirmed fluke infestation.
