I'm probably going to buy this unit off of ebay for my 80 gal aquarium. Now my question is this. Can I remove the Actinic bulbs and put in two more daytime bulbs? Also the daytime bulbs that come in this unit are 10,000 K so would I want to replace to those two. Angel Mom told me that 6,700 is what plants will respond to best. What is your opinion?
I bought the lighting fixture above mentioned and I've also bought a four pack of 6,400 K plant growth bulbs. Now can I repace the actinic bulbs with the 6,400 K ones or am I just stuck. I need to know because I'm getting ready to buy plants and I need to know how much lighting I'm going to have. If I can use all four bulbs in that fixture then I'll have 260 watts for my 80 gal tank.
