I came home last night, and right in the middle of the front of my tank was they orangey---brownish thing, and quite a few of them at that...some of them have this white stringy thing in it, but it all together looks like a fur ball, there was about 4 or 5 patches of them....
woke up this morning, most of it was gone, and two pieces were stuck on the fliter so i took them out manually.
Does anyone know what it is/was?
I'm thinkin an egg patch, but I don't know if there is even egg patches....
If fish could vomit i would call it that.
Please help me.... Thanks

Do you have any snails? If so then they might be snail eggs Most of the fish that you have listed on your profile are livebearers and will not lay eggs and the rest are infrequently bred in tanks and if they do will not lay a mass of orange colored eggs. Could something have fallen in the tank that woudl be orange in color? Without pictures it is very difficult to even guess what it (they) might be.

Apple snails lay eggs above the water line that are ornage in color, they sort of resemble praying mantis egg cases. Most fish lay eggs that are single or maybe put into a small area but not as a mass (at least as well as I know unless you get into salt water fishes). If yu have apple snail or maybe even mystry snails then they might have had eggs that fell into the water.
