Are there any fish/inverts that can keep pond snail populations in check, not grow to a large size, and are reletively peaceful?

There are several species of botia (loaches) that stay relatively small and love to eat snails. I've currently got Zebra loaches (Botia striata/Botia horae), Skunk Loaches (Yasuhikotakia morleti), and Angelicus Loaches (Botia kubotai/Botia sp. myanmar) in my tanks and have never had a problem with them bothering other fish. They all are schooling fish though, so you'll need at least 3 of the same variety to keep them happy. If there is another type you are interested in, you'll need to make sure they don't get over 3 or 4 inches. ;)

Thank you for the suggestions, but I'm not certain that I can provide the conditions that the loaches need. I am going to upgrade my tank and I'll try to remove all the snails and their eggs from everything so they will, hopefully, not be a problem.
