Where does an RO system connect to?

sorry, but this might be a stupid question, but does an RO system connect directly to a water pipe, connect to the aquariums filtration system, or connect thru a faucet with an adapter?

No such thing as a a stupid question. :D

An RO system hooks up to any faucet where there is cold water. It can hook up directly to a garden hose-sized male thread, or you can get adapters from any hardwrae that will convert any faucet to that size thread.
