Media for Eheim ECCO filter

As I mentioned previously, I am planning to buy the 2028 Professional Series II filter. I am looking at the cost of all the supplies, like the media (ehfimech & ehfisubstrate) and I was wondering if the ECCO uses the same media as the Pro II. If so, how much does the ECCO require? I understand the ECCO comes with it's own media, but I'm just looking ahead for replacement.

All the Eheim filters use identical loads, although the filter pad sizes are different. It is the filter pads you change and that's about the same cost. Even the largest Ecco is not as large as a 2028. I recommend the 2028.

I am actually looking at the ECCO 2233 for a 37 gallon tank that I've purchased. The 2028 Pro II will be purchased for a 90 or 125 gallon tank that I'll be purchasing in the future.

I'm just looking for an easy maintenance filter for both tanks with easy or little priming required.
