lets get these forums going. you got here because you have a ?/???--ask it. and if you have a helpfull bit of info. please register and lets all help each other.
------the cycle-----
day 1--new fish in tank/ amonia-nitrite-nitrate all@ zero
day 5-- ammonia peeks and nitrite begins to take over
day 14--nitrite peeks(amonnia@zero for days now) and nitrate takes over
day 30--nitrate/nitrite/ammona all leveled off. the tank is cycled. please start with hardy 'cheap' fish(not feeders)do h20 change of 20%about day 5 and 14---no meds. start with healthy fish. must have fish to cycle tank with so pick some hardy/pritty ones K?

Hi dan, you can also cycle a new tank with uncooked shrimp. Just throw it in, and it will cycle within 3 weeks. Or we used damsels to cycle our first tank, a 72 gal bow front.
