Today, I introduced the large fish into the 55 gallon tank where the two small fry are and it seems that my apprehension about the larger fish bulling the smaller fish was for naught, since the 1 1/2 inch Orange Fantail turned out to be the bully of the group.
Sunset, the small Orange fantail, is constantly trying to swim up underneath the larger fishes caudal fin. It is a mystery to me as to what he is looking for, but the little rascal is persistent and if he can not catch up to a perticular fish, he will go after the nearest large fish.
I am sitting in my den enjoying this mischievous little fish go about doing what he is doing because this has been going on for some time without let up.
As for the small Black Moor, he seems to be getting his fair share of food although I worry for him because I have several pointed artificial grasses in the tank and wonder if he might injure his telescope eyes. It is rather doubtful but the possibility is there nevertheless.
And lastly my sincere thanks to Goldfish 125 girl for her vast knowledge of fish and for having answers to my many questions.
