Looking for new tank

Hey all! I'm looking for a new tank that is 40+gals (not a tall). I recently saw one for sale at Wal-Mart and was wondering if anyone has bought one and how well does it hold? Also if you have seen another tank at some other store please let me know. (Try to make sure that it is international because i live in Canada)

well i bought a 55 gallon from walmart so their tanks are just as good as any other.

just dont buy fish from them, their policies are horrible. grab the tank and run.

lol thanx for the advice Buddha_Red!:) Does the stand hold well? Because i saw a combo (tank, heater, filter etc.) at my LPS but with no stand. Then i saw some oak coffee tables at IKEA and think that they could hold about 500lbs(aprox. weight of 55gal tank). I'm looking for a new tank because i almost gave into buying a shark :SW. I don't know why but they just facinate me!

BTW, I rescued a female sword from Wal-Mart once and it was so completely covered with ick that it looked like she was one of those speckled mollies. I managed to heal her and she gave birth to about three batches before i gave her to a new home.

the tanks have always held very well.

make sure to always caluate the number if fish (use adult size) and dont go over it or you will have stress problems,diseases ect.

hope your doing well, its a deep hobby but this store and forum have really saved me a bunch of times

Just so you remember: You are supporting the way they treat their fish, not to mention their employees, every time you make any purchase from them. WalMart is known for adding to the tax burden of towns because they pay their employees so little that they qualify for social services and medicaid.
