Hey all, if anyone is considering purchasing a Whisper Internal power filter made by Tetra here's a little bit of info I got today.

Story first:
I bought two of these, same model-----the 20i rated for 20 gallons for added filtration to go with my HOBs. The one I bought at my LFS had a foam cartridge (for biological filtration) that goes in front of the carbon cartridge, but the one I bought at Wal-Mart didn't. I looked high and low for this extra foam cartridge------I couldn't find it anyhere------not even Tetra's website. I called Tetra and they are sending me one free. They told me that from now on the new Whisper internals would all have the foam cartridges in the box, I guess it's an upgrade.

Moral of the story:
If you buy one of these filters (they work good as an add-on, not sure about main filtration), look for a black foam cartridge in a plastic clip. If you ain't got one, just call Tetra at 1-800-423-6458 and they will send you one. This extra foam is important for biological filtration, because the carbon cartridge will get tossed out in 4 weeks resulting in bacterial loss and possible mini-cycle.

P/S: Thought it was mighty kind of Tetra to send me one for free!!! I was looking to purchase. I knew there was a reason I use a lot of their stuff!!!

Nice ending, feels good when a business appreciates customers and happilly solve problems, it is good customer service, and keeps customers, and, on our part, makes us feel it is not only about money, but good service and love for pets.
Some businesses, specially here in CA, are so blatant......sad....and stupid, because the way they trae their customers is , beyond bad, but laughable.
Good for Tetra, they not only kept you as a customer, now I have a positive idea about them....Tetra is on my list. :)

Yeah, Tetra is a good company. I like a lot of their products. They make some pretty good fish food, filters, and water treaters.
