I have an old hanging filter, that's in a jam.
I can't find a filter pad for it,
It's getting me mad

If anyone would bother or ever would care
Could you tell where to get one?
I'd gladly go there!

It's so old, it doesen't have a brand name
It's a green clear plastic with numbers, no names
It's a delemma, I have and it's driving me insane!
If anyone ever had one?
Please give me it's brand name?

For 17 years it hung on this tank
For more info on this filter pad
I'll have you to thank!

You'll earn my respect
and that I won't doubt
This forum would rank
number 1 with me in Clout.

Thanks

Hagen and whisper stiill use a filter pads in there hang on type. have you looked at these at your LFS to see if they would match. If not I would just go get some filter material and make your own. You can use fishing line and a sewing needel to join the sides to hold carbon in. If it's just a plain pad then you can just cut one to fit. HTH

Many manufacturers supply pads for their own product and in some cases, are generaly used by others. Other manufacturers like Poly-Bio Marine provide generic pads that you can use for any filtration system, whether its HO, Cannister or Sump. in addition to pads, activated bags of carbon or prepacked bags (like boyd's chemi-pure) should also be considered.

btw, just of of curiosity, how long has this filter been used w/o the pad being replaced? ...or are you about to use it and want to find replacement pads?

It's my FW tank and under the advice of my attorney!

I have to take the 5th!

I can say the fish have only been in there 6 mos.

The other 15 years, it was only a plant only FW Reef Tank no running filter.

Thanks
