Hello,
I am re-setting up a 75 gal reef tank this tank has been sitting in storage for 4 or 5 years, and I finally got my hands BACK on it… well the question is, I have a Red Sea Classic Berlin Protein Skimmer that I need to set up… the problem is that I have none of the paperwork so I don’t know the “proper” set-up details for configuring it outside of the sump. Right now the list of items I have is:
75 Gal Tank
2MH lights
Pro clear 125 wet dry filter
Mag Drive Model 9
2 Mag-5’s
4 power heads
90Lbs of rock…
I am still testing the Mag-5’s and power heads to make sure they still work (I think they just need cleaning). I know I will be drilling the sump to hook up the Mag-9, and the Skimmer will not fit into the sump so, how do I set up the skimmer and the return pump? Do I need another pump or will one of the Mag-5’s work for the skimmer? Do I need to cut 2 holes in the sump to plum the skimmer as well? If I need to drill second hole, where do I route the output of the skimmer?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Brian
