having problem with strange algae bloom. Bright green diatom looking algae on glass, substrate, and some of the live rock. Bad and getting worse. All water parameters test great, and until today coral continued to look good. Today looking not as healthy. Protein skimmer working well, just did 20% water change 3 days ago. Would appreciate any advice as its getting out of control.

Hi,
You may be getting false readings, the algae may be using the Phosphates as fast as they reproduce.
How long do you run your lights?
What king of cleaning crew do you have?
How often do you feed your fish?

1. Try getting as much algae off your rocks as you can and do another water change.
2. Change or clean your filter media.
3. Try feeding smaller amounts or skip a day.
4. Cut back your lighting 15-30min a day
5. Beef-up your cleaning crew if needed.
