About 5 days ago my tang started acting a little strange, breathing heavier and much faster. About 4 days ago he stopped eating and is quickly becoming emaciated and listless, hanging near the top of the tank (not by the filter). My other fish are all doing great. My nitrates are a little high (around 10-15), but nothing else is out of the ordinary. I figured it might be gill flukes (although I can't see them), but I haven't found any meds I can use in my tank as I have small hermit crabs, 3 shrimp and some mushroom coral. I tried a few quick freshwater baths for my tang (each about 1 minute) but they didn't help.

Any ideas?

Hey apothecaryhk,
I never did have a fish get flukes, so i never did try this stuff, but its on this site and is reef/invertebrate safe. Take a look in disease/pest control----reef safe meds

Fish Vet Revive (8oz)
Manufacturer: Fish Vet
Fish Vet Revive is effective against bacteria, flukes and Oodinium. Use when fish show red or blotchy lesions, ulcers, missing scales and/or fin rot. Will not harm aquatic plants or invertebrates.
