Are there any good tankmates for goldfish besides goldfish?

White cloud mountain minnows, weather/dojo loaches, hillstream loach (most of the time). Basically, other coldwater community fish.

doughsing is dead on...those are the perfect tankmates for goldies. Basically any fish that can do well below 70 degrees. I just saw where bengal danios would work too.

Make sure to not put single tailed goldfish with double tailed golefish (the fancy egg shaped ones) because the single tailed goldfish will eat most of the food which in turn will probably make you put more food in and have the tank "overfed:. The golden orf is another good fish with single tailed goldfish. Just make sure to have an aquarium or pond large enough to houise thema nd filtration at least twice the rated because goldfish are very messy.
