Yesterday morning, we received an email from our hosting service that they had finished pointing all of our URLs to the new semi-dedicated server we were planning on switching our site to.
However, this was not supposed to happen yet. We had not finished transferring the entire site to the new server and we also had not tested any of the scripts, including the forum. our hosting company jumped the gun and misunderstood our instructions.
Needless to say, I spent almost 18 hours yesterday getting everything transferred and fixed. I also tried to up-grade to version 2.2.8 of this forum BB, but it wouldn't work. I shall be repairing our forum database sometime this weekend and will do that upgrade soon.
I apologize to all for any inconvenience and thank you all for your patience.
The good news is that we are now hosted on a new, much faster server which uses very fast Xenon processors, has a lot more memory, and best of all, is limited to only six web sites per machine. This semi-dedicated solution gives us the ability to complete our plansto re-vamp the web site and launch all the new changes we have been working on for the last six months.
