Pfft. Age is a number. It's what's in your heart that tells you how old you are! ;)

LOL - it was where the 3 1/2 came from that I couldn't figure out.

So I guess if Dave thinks he's 3 1/2, then he is! :D

Aha! You are not a big Looney Tunes Fan - yes?

That is a famous line from many toons voiced by Mel Blanc: "Ewwww - I'm ownwee twee and a half yeahs owd!"

:)

Did I mention I was a Looney Tunes Fan:

Here y'all go - lyrics to that famous tune (sung by Bugs Bunny aka Mel Blanc):

All the world goes gay, swinging on its way,
Things were looking brighter day by day
Nothing ever wrong, life was just a song,
Till that Looney Tune came along...
I'm going cuckoo, woo-woo!
Here comes the choo-choo, woo-woo!
I'm so gooney Looney Tuney, touched in the head
Please pass the ketchup, I think I'll go to bed
Am I the screwball woo-woo
Throw me the eightball woo-woo
Once I knew a thing or two, but now I'm a buckaroo
Hinky-dinky parlais... vous-woo!

Don't get me started. Whoops too late. :D

Oh........... That's gonna need more than a bandaid to fix that one........ (lol) Happy Belated B-Day Dave, even if you are 3 1/2, which really means that your B-day is in 6 months......... but I'll beleive you when you say that you are only 3 1/2..... what ever lets you sleep at night!! (grin)

ROTFLMOA Ah........that explains a lot! I was/am a Looney Tunes "fan", but since they moved all the good cartoons to cable, it's been YEARS since I've seen any of them. Now that you've explained.....yes, I DO remember that line! LOL

I'm on the floor with Mom LMAO....Dave, you brought back some wonderful memories with that ling and those lyrics to that crazy song that Daffy sang. I will never forget any of that....happy memories! Crtoons just aren't what they used to be and I miss the old Looney Tunes.

Hehe:

Actually, Daffy's song was similar but was more like

Oh people call me Daffy
They think that I am goony
Ah just because I’m happy is no sign I’m looney tooney
Oh when they say I’m nutsy
It sure gives me a pain
Please pass the ketchup I think its going to rain
Oh you can’t bounce a meatball
Though try with all your might
Ah turn on the radio I want to fly a kite

Hold your seats folks, here we go again
My name is Daffy Duck
I work on the merry-go-round
The job was swell, I did quite well
'Till the merry-go-round broke down

The guy that worked with me
Was a horse with the lavender eye
Around in whirls we winked at girls
'Till the merry-go-round broke down
Up and down and around it we sped
The dizzy pace soon went to my head

Now you know why I'm dizzy
And do the things I do
I am askew and you'd be too
When the merry-go-round broke down
Yes the merry go round broooookkkkkkeeeeeeeeee.... down

Goooood Eeeeeevining Frieeeeeeeeends

Naturally, both songs were sung to Elmer Fudd (poor Elmer - he never got a break) And that song was where the original Merry Melodies theme song came from. :D

Isidore Freling said he'd wished he'd had a tape recorder when he first met Mel Blanc for an interview.

Evidently, Mel walked in and introduced himself in what would later become Elmer Fudd's voice, then proceeded to answer all the questions in various voices like Daffy, Bugs, Sylvester, Tweety, Yosemite Sam and various others.

Freling later wrote that he hardly heard any of the answers because he was laughing so hard. He decided to hire Blanc after the first few words he spoke. Mel didn't use his own voice until the very end when he thanked Freling for the interview. The entire time he kept a straight face.

lmao i used to watch Loony Tunes all the time. I'm in teh same boat as Angelmom though, no cable, no more of those good old fashioned cartoons.

Hey and wasn't Mel Blanc actually allergic to carrots? Pretty ironic seeing as he voiced a rabbit. :p
