CHERRY BARB
(Puntius titteya)
1. Origin: Sri Lanka
2. How big?: 2"
3. Minimum tank size: 10 gallons
4. Temprature: 73-79 deg. F
5. pH/gH: 6.5-7.5; soft to medium hard
6. Temprament: very peaceful barb for the community tank
7. Single or group?: this species does not schoal like other barbs and can be kept as a single pair
8. Food: omnivorous, most food accepted, include a vegetable component
9. Not a difficult fish, good for beginners, but not to cycle tank
**Males (left pic) are a very bight red that intensifies when couting a female, females (right pic) are brownish gold **
