new fish

well my last GBR died. I moved the jewels back to that tank and added 2 yellow labs and 3 blue ahli.
New to these guys, any pointers?

pick up more labs. they'll do better, as a larger group, if/when there is any agression from the jewels.IMO.

Thanks Lloyd, it's not bad----yet. The labs moved into a giant mushroom ornament.
I may move the pair of jewels that are trying to breed, back out and into their own tank again---if they get too nasty. Then I'll take your advise and pop a couple more labs in there.
Pretty ordinary choice of fish huh? Didn't know what to get, and I do love cichlids.

check out pseudo.demasoni. they hold their value for saleability better than the lab., monomorphic, not toooooo agressive, and they add a nice contrast to the yellow. the two together make one of the most impressive malawi tanks out there. way better than the 'dog's breakfast' that most put together. :cool:

after doing a little research, it seams that I do have pseudo demasoni, and not blue ahli, lol sheesh. Will get some photos to be sure.
