Whats up with the web site?

Maybe its just me, but what's up with the web site? It has been running ssslllooowww for the past few days. I have DSL, but it takes a bit for the pages to open fully and let me interact. I can't imagine how slow it is with dial-up. I noticed the new menu style on the left. That seems to come right up though. With such a cool site, it would be a shame to lose potential members, or worse, customers due to your site being slow to load.

Well, we only spent weeks creating these wonderful new Java Script menus that would eliminate the old Java applets that everyone complained about because they were not compatible with some Mac systems, versions of other browsers and operating systems.

Problem is, once again, we discovered that we are much better aquarists than webmasters and the darn things load too slow. We also forgot to optimize the graphics in the new template (that has been fixed which is why the pages are loading semi-faster).

We have hired a pro (Dag Nam It! We need to save money!) and he is re-writing our menus so they load in less than a second. The new menus will be up early next week.

Very sorry to all. The professional aquarists really need to stick to aquariums and leave fancy web work to the web pros!
