just want to know if i have enough light for my live rock to grow and if it is good enough to grow corals
i have 3 - 40w 6500k and 1 - 10,000k 40w is that enough??????????? :HP

For FOWLR you should have a min of 3WPG for coraline algae growth.
For some soft corals you should use 4-5WPG.
For hard corals and clams 6-7WPG.(for all above more WPG would be better)
You have good enough light for LR only, a upgrade would be needed for corals.
I would also use the same amount of 6500k & 10,000k Fl bulbs when you upgrade your lighting instead of 3-6500k & 1-10,000k

what do u mean :confused: use the light i have plus get 3 more 6500k and one more 10,000k ?

ok now i have 50/50 = 34w, 6-6500k =240w and a 10,000k =40w total watts 314 that is almost 6 watts per gal. on my 55 gal. tank is that good or no :D

the watts should be good, but I would drop 2 of the 6500k's for 2 50\50 or actinic bulb's
