Okay, can someone tell me the difference between the live sand that is sold dry in a bag, and live sand that is sealed moist with water?

Pro's / Con's to each? Cost differences?

The dry sand is not "Live", the sand needs the water to keep things alive.

Tigger is right. The dry sand is probably just marketed as actual reef sand or something of the sort. The actual live sand will be in a sealed bag with water to keep the bioload alive.

Pros? Cool little creatures like spaghetti worms that clean your tank and search for debris to eat at night. Increases bioload in your tank - could help cylce faster.

Cons? Lots of debris in them - possible
pests like bristle worms etc.

Hey BigDesert,
How's your tank going?
Did you go with the "wet"sand?
