Wow! Your tank sounds beatutiful! I'd love to see a pic! You're not worried that the eels or Jaguar would eat the smaller fish? Or that the J.Demp would fight with the convicts? Or that the auratus and johanni may try to kill each other? Your braver than I am. Although you have a huge tank, you have some mean fish, too. Sounds awesome though, if they can all get along together! Good luck!

The fish might be getting along together now but when they get larger there will be some of the fish dilled. You might wind up with only a couple of fish left in that large tank. It is not too much different for the Roman days when they would put in animals to see which would kill the others. Plus the fish do not all have the same kinds of water conditions that they need to stay healthy. The snowflake eel should be in brackish water. There are several types of "bumble bees, including gobies and catfish. I don't know what a kola or a giraffe Hap is so I cannot commit on them.

I guess I should of Specified, the Jack, Firemouth and the Jaguar, are all in the cichlid tank temporarily untill they are big enough to go with the other Jack, Midas and Pacu. Everything else are cichlids other than the EEL and the Blood Parrots, most are Malawi. Just FYI Giraffe haps are Lake Tanguwaii or however it is spelled Africans.

They are separated? Then when you put them in, they will really be seen as intruders and it will definitely be kill or be killed. Firemouths just don't grow large enough and will probably be the first to be eaten/killed. That's kind of an expensive eel snack. How big is your pacu? Did you say pacu? Did you know that pacu are related to pirahna? I know you have a large tank, but I believe they are a schooling fish and the tank you have now is probably not large enough for just one. Not with all the other gladiators in there that will be fighting for domination, territory and life in general. BTW you should keep "like minded" fish and from the same body of water together and not mix em up. They should all be from the same Lake or all new world or all brackish. Not trying to lecture tho (too late?)
Good luck!!

WOW Trying to describe fish and Tanks can become quiet confusing......LOL
Pacu, LG Jack Dempsey, and Midas are in a tank all alone.
Then all the cichlids, plus 1 juvenile Firemouth, 1 juvenile Jack Dempsey, and 1 juvenlile Jaguar are all in 180 gallon Tank.
The Juvenile Fire Mouth, the juvenjile Jack Dempsey, and the Juvenile Jaguar are only in the 180 gallon with the cichlids temporarily, untill they are large enough to go in with the adult Pacu, Jack Dempsey, and Midas.
After doing some research on the Freshwater Moray EEL and finding out that he is not really freshwater, has gone to a new home.
Pacus are only schooling fish as Juveniles, as they mature they are lone swimmers.

How about updating your profile because you only list one tank. And what size is the other tank that the larger fish are in?. I hope that you know that pacus can reach length of over 4 foot depending on species.
