This is an excellent site that has tons of information on almost every freshwater fish and an equal amount on plants. The owner of the pet store (L.A.) always returns emails too!

I've seen that site before ... and I was not impressed. He's way too keen on making his tanks a chemical soup. I figure if I don't want to drink it, I'm not putting my fish in it.

I also noted more than a few "misconceptions" on keeping other critters that he's propagating,
