This can very for every tank but usually with in the first two weeks, but if you use uncured live rock first day or two. Just depends on what you'r using to cycle with. HTH

Default just got my first aquarium, need set up pointers

Hello all,
i just bought a 90 gal with (2) 350 magnum w/bio wheel filters.(good deal) The guy I bought it from used it in a fish only salt set up. I want to set up a reef, and I think I will need a protein skimmer, and a uv sterelizer to go along with the 350's. My question is can I run this all as one system? in other words, can I run one 350 through the skimmer, through the other 350, then back to the tank? will this work? or, how can I make it work? Do i need another pump for the protein skimmer, if so how will I plumb it?
p.s i've never set up a aquarium before, thats why i'm confused anyone have pictures of a similar set up?

Most skimmers come with a pump that is the sized for that skimmer.

Do you have any Live Rock?
