Default N weekend convention

This weekend at the Crown Plaza Cromwell in Ct. the NEC (North East Council of aquarium societies) will be having their annual convention. It is a great gathering of fish information including speakers Ingo Seidel speaking of searching for new L Plecos. Jay Hemdal will talk on Mini Aquariums, Karen Randell will speak for the Aquatic Gardeners Association, Morrell Devlin , Today in the Fishroom, Dr. Ted Coletti will speak about livebearers, Chuck Rambo The history of keeping aquarium organisms as pets and that is on Friday. Saturday will have speakers Holy Lohuis, Jay Hemdal, Tony Orso, Barb DecROSS, Ingo Seidel, Tony Pinto, Larry Johnson and Lee Finley. On Sunday will be the big (and I do mean big) fish and plant auction.as well as the end of the silent auction for the Conservation Committee which raises money for great projects, this year all of the money from the silent auction will go to Project Amazonias. I hope that I will see some of you there.,

I had a blast there, I met some friends that I had not seen in a while and also met some new friends, plus learned many new things. I also bought many things , probably more than I should have, LOL. I did manage to buy some Dario dario (Scarlet badis) and hopefully have three females and one male. It is hard to find females so I jumped at the chance to get these little beauties.
This is a great forum and I recommend it to many people but seeing people face to face is great also. The more that you can learn about your hobby the better it will be for this great hobby. Instead of loosing fish, we should be keeping them to long lives and possible breeding them for others to enjoy.
