Eheim Professional Series heavy-duty
canister filters offer the following features: Highly efficient filtration
for faster breakdown of harmful substances and long operating times, higher flow rates, integrated
quick-disconnect valves, carrying handles and media trays. These new
technological innovations guarantee optimum filtration as well as easy
handling and service:
- Squared design guarantees
stable footing and greater filter volume.
- Fitting directly into the pump head,
the newly developed integrated double tap connector ingeniously
combines the shutoff valves, the hose connections and the locking
clamp into a perfect single unit.
- Filter media containers with
retraceable handles greatly simplify setup and cleaning of the
filter media.
- The media containers offer complete
versatility in the setup of different filter media.

Media is layered in the containers as
follows:
- Bottom Container - Fill
with Ehfimech (this media is never changed; rinse monthly in
aquarium water and return to basket). Place Blue Coarse Pad
on top of loose media (replace every 3 months, but rinse out every
month)
- Middle Container - Fill with Ehfisubstrat
(this media is never changed; rinse monthly in aquarium water and
return to basket). Place Carbon Pad on top of loose
media (replace every month)
- Top Container - Fill with Ehfisubstrat
or other media of your choice. Place Fine White Pad on top of
loose media (replace every month).
