x Slip Swing-Flap Style Check Valve
Limits the flow of water to
one direction. Prevents back-flow when a pump is shut down. Totally silent! Check
valves depend on back-flow water pressure, and should only be used in pressure
systems, where the water is flowing upwards. They should not be used in drain
lines or in passive flow systems, or in any application where water is flowing
downwards.
This type of check-valve may be used vertically or horizontally.
Available in 1" and
3/4" slip sizes. May be converted to a threaded fitting using female or
male adaptors. May also be reduced using a slip x thread reducer
bushing. We
highly recommend the use of a union on either side of any check valve to allow
for cleaning the valve apparatus.
