BY CREDIT CARD: Orders received from Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico and many other countries may be paid by credit-card in United States currency.
Please complete all billing information as it appears on your credit card statement, or there may be delays in processing the order.

PLEASE NOTE: You are responsible for paying any importation fees, taxes or duties levied by customs.

Refunds and Returns:
IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ:
If we must incur unusual costs in handling the return of your order, a re-stocking charge of 20% of the order total (before shipping) will not be refunded to your credit card. Shipping costs will not be refunded on any order that is shipped outside the United States for any reason. We are not responsible for shipping costs for returned items. We will not issue call-tags, return-orders or reimburse shipping for returned products. If you return an order to us, you must insure the package as we will not process refunds on items returned to us damaged without a claim number.

Customs and Shipping Delays:
You are responsible for knowing the customs and import laws and regulations of your country. If you don't know or are unsure whether you can purchase an item from us, please contact the appropriate government agency in your country for more information. It is usually acceptable to order most aquarium equipment, but please do not order chemicals, chemical filter media, fish foods or any other usable or perishable dry-goods if you think they will not clear customs in your country. We absolutely will not refund your order if it is confiscated by the customs department or another government agency of your country.

In the event that your package has been delayed beyond the expected shipping time, we will make every effort to locate your package and have it delivered to you, including filing the proper forms with the U.S. Postal Service. We are not responsible for packages lost or stolen while in the possession of the U.S. Postal Service. Because all international packages are insured, we will file an insurance claim with the post office if/when this becomes necessary.

You are responsible for paying any duties or taxes levied by the customs department or other government agencies of your country.

Your order will be prepared with proper shipping documentation. All shipping invoices, bills-of-lading, declarations, and all other shipping documentation will be printed in English. We are not responsible for any delays caused by the customs department or other government agencies of your country.

Recommended Shipping Methods:
Regardless of the shipping method you select, we are not responsible for delays in shipping for international orders.

Federal Express, UPS and U.S.P.S. Global Express are expensive options for international shipping. The reason these shipping options are more expensive is because these shipping companies broker the packages through the customs or other government agency of your country. These options also offer delivery date guarantees and package tracking. We highly recommend that you use one of these shipping options to ensure timely arrival of your order.

For the benefit of our international customers, we have provided an option for shipping via The United States Postal Service. The U.S. Postal Service offers lower rates for international shipments. If you select U.S.P.S. shipping, we highly recommend using the Global Express option which offers tracking features and guaranteed delivery dates. We cannot guarantee delivery dates if you select any other U.S.P.S. option.

Our shipping charges are calculated in real time by the Federal Express, UPS, and United States Postal Service Web Site shipping calculation engines. These calculators use the weight and dimensions of products to calculate the shipping charges. We do add a small fee (usually $2.00 U.S. to $10.00 U.S.) to each order to pay for the packaging because our packers use a lot of extra material to ensure your order will arrive safely and in good condition.


Restricted Products and Electrical Devices
Some products cannot be shipped to certain countries. Products like certain fish foods, medications, chemicals, or additives may be restricted from importation by your government. It is your responsibility to find out if you can buy a product before you place an order. We know of no restrictions for Canada or Mexico, but please check your customs laws.

Please do not email us to enquire as to whether we can ship certain products to your country. We will not know. You should contact the appropriate government authorities in your country to find out if you can buy certain items from the United States, BEFORE you make a purchase. If your order is confiscated by the customs authorities of your country, we will not give you a refund and any penalties we have to pay to our shipping companies will be billed to your credit card!

ELECTRICAL DEVICES! All electrical products sold in the United States operate on 110 volts or 220 volts, single phase at a frequency of 60hz. Unless your country's building codes are IDENTICAL to that of the United States, PLEASE DO NOT order pumps, filters or any other electrical device from us. CHECK BEFORE YOU ORDER. If you have any doubt, please email us. If you order an electrical product from us, and it won't work in your country, you will have to pay to ship the product back to us, via insured parcel post, and we will not credit you back until we receive the product back in good condition, including all packaging.


Why is my country not listed on your checkout form?
This may be due to a number of financial and political reasons. If you would like to buy from us, and your country is not listed on our checkout form, please send us an email, and we will do our best to accommodate you.
